The bamboo is 30 years old, with a slightly adjusted length using a permanent joint under the mouthpiece area, covered with traditional rattan binding.
The bamboo’s classic upward curve is aesthetically desirable.
Most of my flutes are two-piece, but this one-piece flute (Nobekan) is stronger and more durable due to the absence of a fragile joint.
The mouthpiece inlay is black acrylic with a sterling silver lining in the Kinko school shape.

Musically, it’s easy to play, with a softer, mellower sound, reminiscent of a Jinashi flute (natural bore).
