1.8 Jiari Shakuhachi at D by Chokusui Wight: 367 grams. Length: 54.5cm Tozan Utaguchi mouthpiece black inlay. By 直水 Chokusui, a good, vintage maker. Nobekan (one piece) Bamboo with nice, mottled esthetics, and good node placement. There is a crack at the front of the flute from the Utaguchi down to around 3rd hole. it is fully closed and stabilized by black nylon bindings painted with Urushi lacquer. I did the bindings and replaced the Utaguchi inlay, as well as some minor bore and Urushi work. It is very well balanced with a loud and clear sound and timber. it can play soft or loud easily and without effort. It is in tune with a bit sharp chi as common with many vintage flutes. This flute can be a main flute for both beginner and advanced player. the fact that it doesn’t have a joint is a plus regarding durability for years to come. Free worldwide airmail shipping with 30days audition and a full refund (exclude shipping expenses). Comes with a handmade leather mouthpiece cover and a thick poly bag. 30 days audition time.
