- Crafted from very old Japanese bamboo, likely around 100 years old (which explains the darker color).
- The root end is filled, sanded, and toned with dark Urushi and bamboo dust.
- The mouthpiece inlay features “Arvorin” (artificial ivory) with a 14k gold border in the traditional Kinko school shape.
- The Nakatsugi joint rings are sterling silver, adorned with unique Urushi lacquer layers and metal dusts of gold and silver.
- Bamboo thickness and weight are average, at 330 grams.
- Musically, it’s a very strong and balanced flute, making it the best and easiest to play in my collection.
